HILLEL PESACH PROJECT

On 2-8 of Apri the students of Hillel from Kharkov and Washington realized joint Pesach project in Kharkov (Ukraine). This project was held for the fifth time and became good tradition. 10 students from Washington and 30 students from Kharkov held 5 Pesach and model seders for more than 550 young and elderly people, for adult and children. Pesach programs was held in 15 'Warm and Open houses' of the Hesed. The students visited 82 elderly Jews, disabled persons and children at risk at their homes. American students knew the life of Kharkov Jewish community and their coevals in Ukraine.

Preparation to Seder



On 1 of April model seder was held for 150 chldren at risk and their parents


On 2 of April more than 120 people came to Hillel to seder for the community






On 3 of April more than 100 Kharkov Hillel students came to the wonderful and exciting student Pesach Seder


On 4 of April two model seders for 100 war veterans, former ghetto prisoners and 50 children at risk were held.


On 8 of April 20 students of Hillel took part in the model seder held together by youth Jewish organizations of the city



The students visited 46 elderly and needy Jews - clients of "Hesed", 36 children at risk, held Pesach programs in 13 "Warm" and "Open" houses and 2 programs in the "Club" of Hesed, worked in "Hesed" making bath seats

The students held wonderful Shabbath and Havdala together.
